March is Women’s History Month and it seems only fitting to talk about women’s roles in water. Have you ever thought about women’s roles with water? Who do you think has historically been responsible for collecting water for the household? In many tribal communities today, who do you think walks miles to collect water?


I think you see where I’m going with this. This daily necessity was the sole responsibility of women (and often children). Water.org has a great article on how the water crisis is a

women’s crisis, our wellbeing is directly correlated to the wellbeing of our water resources.
